This Privacy Policy explains how JSONS Solicitors Private Limited ("VakilKaro", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects your information when you use the VakilKaro Learning platform (the "Platform"). By creating an account or purchasing a course, you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

• Account details: name, mobile number, email address, gender, address, city, state and PIN code, and the professional ID we assign to you.
• Login details: your password (stored only in encrypted, hashed form) and one-time passwords (OTPs) sent to your mobile number.
• Purchase details: courses purchased, amount paid, coupon used, payment reference and course validity. Card, UPI and bank details are entered on the secure page of our payment gateway (Razorpay or Easebuzz) and are not stored by us.
• Learning activity: lessons watched, viewing progress, completion status and certificates issued.
• Session details: a login token for your current device, used to keep your account active on one device at a time.
• Enquiries: details you submit through our enquiry or contact forms.

2. How we use your information

• To create and manage your account and verify your identity through OTP.
• To process payments, give you access to purchased courses and manage course validity.
• To save your progress, let you resume lessons and issue completion certificates.
• To send account, purchase and course-related messages by SMS, email or WhatsApp.
• To respond to enquiries and provide support.
• To prevent fraud, account sharing and unauthorised access to course content.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

3. Sharing of information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with:

• Service providers who help us run the Platform: payment gateways (Razorpay and Easebuzz), SMS and email delivery providers, and our hosting provider. They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
• Meta Platforms (Facebook / Instagram), for advertising measurement as described in section 4, with contact details only in hashed form.
• Authorities when required by law, court order or a government request.

4. Cookies and advertising measurement

The Platform uses a session cookie that is necessary to keep you logged in and to secure your account.

We also use the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API to measure and improve our advertising on Facebook and Instagram. These record actions such as page visits, course enquiries, sign-ups and purchases. Your email address, mobile number and name are shared with Meta only in hashed (encrypted, one-way) form, together with technical details such as your IP address, browser type and Meta cookies (_fbp, _fbc). You can control ads based on this activity in your Facebook / Instagram ad settings, or block third-party cookies in your browser.

5. Data security

We use HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords, OTP verification and access controls to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

6. Data retention

We keep your account and purchase information for as long as your account is active and as required for legal, tax and accounting purposes. Enquiry details are kept for as long as needed to respond to and follow up on your enquiry.

7. Your rights

You can view and update your profile details from My Profile. You may also ask us to correct your information or to delete your account by writing to us. Some records (such as payment records) may need to be kept as required by law.

8. Children

The Platform is intended for adults. Persons under 18 years of age may use it only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
